Santa Cruz Shines at the 21st Anniversary Pro-Am Beach Soccer Classic lit up Santa Cruz’s Main Beach on June 7–8, 2025, in what became its most successful edition yet. For the first time in the event’s history, it sold out completely with 200 teams competing from across the region. Matches kicked off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and ran until 7:00 p.m., with high-energy action across all 17 fields.
The weekend crowned 31 champions across divisions that included youth, adult, men’s, and co-ed teams. The growth and enthusiasm surrounding the tournament were felt by everyone—from players and coaches to families and fans packed along the shoreline. For the second year in a row the event also featured no field numbers. Everyone used the digital mapping of www.tclc.live technology to find their fields. The advanced technology used in PABS events continues to set the standard for live sports event technologies.
Perfect weather conditions set the stage for an unforgettable weekend. Temperatures in the mid-60s and a light coastal breeze provided players with ideal beach soccer conditions under sunny skies.
Clubs Came in Big Numbers
There were over 62 different clubs competing in this years event. Leading the charge were two standout clubs: Tecos Hayward and OV Toros. Both organizations brought over 10 teams each, dominating several divisions and leaving Santa Cruz with armfuls of hardware. They didn’t just succeed in numbers—they demonstrated strong tactical play, sportsmanship, and consistency throughout the tournament. We saw many clubs’ teams returning. Organizations not only see the joy and fun in the sport. Some are beginning to see the advancement of core skills and fitness.

Beyond the competition, the tournament atmosphere was electric. With natural beauty of Santa Cruz and the Beach Boardwalk as a backdrop, the crowd was bigger than ever before. At the end of the day, those that benefited the most was the City of Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
